What the 500 EUR assistance package covers

The package is designed to prepare your case fully before the appointment, reduce the chance of rejection, and handle the coordination that most people find difficult to do alone.

Pre-check of your eligibility and documents. We review your situation before you commit.

Document checklist for your specific case. Requirements differ by municipality and by basis of residence. We give you the list that applies to your situation, not the generic national version.

Review of the documents you have. We check whether your documents are in the format the municipality will accept and identify any gaps before the appointment.

Appointment coordination. We handle the process of securing an appointment at the Câmara Municipal for your case.

Support at the appointment stage. Guidance on what to bring, what to expect and what to do if the municipality requests additional materials.

Follow-up handling. If the municipality raises questions or asks for supplementary documents after the appointment, we help you respond.

What is not included

Being explicit about exclusions avoids misunderstandings before you start.

Official municipal fees. These are paid separately to the Câmara Municipal. The 500 EUR does not cover public authority charges.

Address packages or residence documents. We do not sell or create address proof. Your address evidence must reflect where you actually live. We help you understand which lawful options exist for your situation.

AIMA procedures, non-EU family applications, permanent residence or citizenship. These are separate legal processes and require a different service. CRUE is a registration certificate for EU citizens only.

Tax or legal consultations. NIF registration, tax residency questions and legal advice fall outside the scope of CRUE Assistance and are handled as separate consultations.

When the price can change

The 500 EUR is for a standard CRUE Assistance case. Some situations require additional work and are quoted separately after the pre-check.

Travel to the appointment. If in-person support requires travel, transport and time are quoted separately.

Urgent handling. Cases with a short deadline before a departure, lease expiry or employment start may require prioritised scheduling.

Document translation or certification. If your documents are not in Portuguese or English, or require apostille or notarial certification, these are quoted at cost.

Family cases. If you are applying with a spouse, partner or children, the additional documents and coordination for each person are reviewed during the pre-check and may affect the total.

Complex address situations. Cases where standard address proof is unavailable and alternative evidence needs to be sourced or arranged may require additional work.

Legal review or AIMA follow-up. If your case raises questions that go beyond CRUE registration — for example, issues about your basis of residence or a parallel AIMA obligation — those are handled as a separate consultation.

The Free CRUE Pre-Check is how we identify whether your case is standard or whether any of the above apply. No payment is required before the pre-check.
